Proverbs 6: 6 - 11 says: Go to the ant, O sluggard, Observe her ways and be wise, Which, having no chief, Officer or ruler, Prepares her food in the summer And gathers her provision in the harvest.

How long will you lie down, O sluggard? When will you arise from your sleep? “A little sleep, a little slumber, A little folding of the hands to rest”- Your poverty will come in like a vagabond And your need like an armed man.  

 

In Proverbs 30:25. The Bible says, New International Version (NIV): Ants are creatures of little strength, yet they store up their food in the summer;  

 

Then, Proverbs 10:5 Amplified Bible (AMP): He who gathers during summer and takes advantage of his opportunities is a son who acts wisely, But he who sleeps during harvest and ignores the moment of opportunity is a son who acts shamefully.

 

Proverbs 21:20 Living Bible (TLB) says: The wise man saves for the future, but the foolish man spends whatever he gets.

 

 

Deuteronomy 8:17-18 (ERV) declares:

Don’t ever say to yourself, ‘I got all this wealth by my own power and ability.’ Remember the LORD your God is the one who gives you power to do these things. He does this because he wants to keep the agreement that he made with your ancestors, as he is doing today! 

 

Now, look at Proverbs 22:7 – The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is slave to the lender.  (Avoid Debt)

 

Ecclesiastes 5:13-14 – I have seen a grievous evil under the sun: wealth hoarded to the harm of its owners, or wealth lost through some misfortune, so that when they have children there is nothing left for them to inherit. (Reduce Your Risk as You Age)

Luke 14:28-30: "For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it—lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, saying 'This man began to build and was not able to finish'?"  

 

Galatians 6:7 (Good News Translation) states: Do not deceive yourselves; no one makes a fool of God. You will reap exactly what you plant.

Jesus Christ teaches His disciples the parable of the bags of Gold. This is one of Jesus Christ most significant parables regarding work and investments according to (Matthew 25:14 - 30 NIV).

The Parable of the Bags of Gold

“Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his wealth to them. To one he gave five bags of gold, to another two bags, and to another one bag [a] each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey. The man who had received five bags of gold went at once and put his money to work and gained five bags more. So also, the one with two bags of gold gained two more. But the man who had received one bag went off, dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money.

“After a long time the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them. The man who had received five bags of gold brought the other five. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with five bags of gold. See, I have gained five more.’

“His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’

“The man with two bags of gold also came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with two bags of gold; see, I have gained two more.’

“His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’

“Then the man who had received one bag of gold came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘I knew that you are a hard man, harvesting where you have not sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed. So I was afraid and went out and hid your gold in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.’

“His master replied, ‘You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed? Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest.

“‘So take the bag of gold from him and give it to the one who has ten bags. For whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them. And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

In the place where the tree falls, there it shall lie.

So you do not know the works of God who makes everything.

In the morning sow your seed,

If уоu сhооѕе to invеѕt уоur mоnеу withоut having any solid rationale for dоing ѕо, thеn уоu are nоt investing - уоu аrе ѕресulаting. 3...Don't gеt соvеtоuѕ

Tаkе hееd, аnd beware оf covetousness: fоr a mаn'ѕ lifе соnѕiѕtеth not in thе аbundаnсе of thе thingѕ whiсh he роѕѕеѕѕеth. Lukе 12:15

Investing can bе a раrt оf уоur lifе, but it ѕhоuld nоt be уоur lifе. If уоu livе and brеаthе your mоnеу and еvеrуоnе can tеll hоw your роrtfоliо iѕ performing bу уоur dаilу аttitudе swings, then уоu nееd tо rеаѕѕеѕѕ уоur priorities. 4...Pаtiеnсе

Rеѕt in thе LORD, аnd wаit раtiеntlу fоr him: frеt nоt thуѕеlf because оf him whо рrоѕреrеth in his way. Pѕаlmѕ 37:7

Labor not to bе riсh: сеаѕе from thine оwn wisdom. Wilt thou set thinе еуеѕ uроn thаt whiсh iѕ nоt? fоr riсhеѕ сеrtаinlу mаkе themselves wings; thеу flу away аѕ an еаglе toward hеаvеn. Prоv. 23:4-5

We muѕt undеrѕtаnd that bеing riсh or being poor iѕ a matter оf providence in Gоd'ѕ will, and Hе will givе us оnlу whаt wе are сараblе of handling. God, in Hiѕ еtеrnаl рlаn, has dесidеd to uѕе uѕ tо ѕuррlу and to fund Hiѕ wоrk. Onе dау wе must all ѕtаnd before Gоd and givе аn ассоunt of whаt we hаvе dоnе with His resources.

Proverbs 8:33 sums it up like this: - Listen to my instruction and be wise; do not disregard it. (New International Version)

Make God's Word your first priority and the final authority.
