Kasanka national park

The Kasanka is among the most popular parks in Zambia packed with abundant wildlife and surreal beauty of flora. However, the main highlight is the migration of the fruit bats that is a must see for anyone who visits the place. This epic phenomenon happens between the months of November and December. Apart from the bats, there are amazing bird species to look out for such as wattled crane, African FinFoot, Anchieta’s sunbird and the Pel’s fishing owl. Outside the bat season, tourists can still visit the park and marvel at natural scenery featuring swamps, grass plains, forests of the park, elephants and hartebeest and many more.

Mukuyu slave tree

This is a symbol that takes you back to Zambia’s history. At the tree is where the Arab traders carried out their slave market activities in the 19th century. Despite being invaded by termites, the tree still remains a point of interest to many tourist who visit Zambia.
