You have to have a lot of passion for what you are doing. And
it’s totally true, and the reason is, because it’s so hard that if
you don’t, any rational person would give up. It’s really and you
have to do it over a sustained period of time. So if you don’t love,
if you’re not having fun doing it, you don’t really love it,
you’re gonna give up. And that’s what happens to most people
actually. If you really look at the ones that ended up, you know,
being “successful” in the eyes of society and the ones that
didn’t, often times, it’s the ones that are successful love what
they did so they could persevere. You know, when it got really tough.

One of the keys to Apple is: Apple’s an incredibly
collaborative company. You know how many committees we have at Apple?
Zero. We have no comittees. We are organized like a start-up. One
person’s in charge of iPhone OS software, one person is in charge of
Mac hardware, one person is in charge of iPhone hardware engineering,
another person is in charge of worldwide marketing, another person is
in charge of operations. It’s organized like a start-up. We’re the
biggest start-up on the planet. – Steve Jobs •

Steve Jobs •
Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The
troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see
things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no
respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them,
glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore
them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward.
And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because
the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world,
are the ones who do. – Steve Jobs •

They have to be really smart. But the real issue for me is, are they
going to fall in love with Apple? Because if they fall in love with
Apple, everything else will take care of itself. They’ll want to do
what’s best for Apple, not what’s best for them, what’s best for
Steve, or anybody else. – Steve Jobs
•
A lot of companies have chosen to downsize, and maybe that was
the right thing for them. We

The
good news is that people don't determine your destiny; God does. ·
Hear,
O sons, a father’s instruction, and be attentive, that you may gain
insight, for I give you good precepts; do not forsake my teaching.
When I was a son with my father, tender, the only one in the sight of
my mother, he taught me and said to me, “Let your heart hold fast my
words; keep my commandments, and live.” (Proverbs 4:1–4) ·
My
son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline or be weary of his
reproof, for the Lord reproves him whom he loves, as a father the son
in whom he delights. (Proverbs 3:11–12) ·
“Those
whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent.”
(Revelation 3:19) ·
Don’t
let your pain stay as pain. Get something from it. Let your pain push
you towards growth. ·
Growing
isn’t something that happens once. It happens again and again, and
again! ·
“Once
you say you’re going to settle for second, that’s what happens to
you in life.” John F. Kennedy ·
Suppose
one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and
estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it? - Luke
14:28 ·
Do
not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your
power to act - Proverbs 3:27 ·
Those
who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many
foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and
destruction - 1 Timothy 6:9 ·
For
the Lord your God will bless you as he has promised, and you will lend
to many nations but will borrow from none. You will rule over many
nations but none will rule over you - Deuteronomy 15:6 ·
A
good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is
better than silver or gold - Proverbs 22:1 ·
Only
give heed to yourself and keep your soul diligently, lest you forget
the things which your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your
heart all the days of your life; but make them known to your sons and
your grandsons (Deuteronomy 4:9). ·
There
is a grievous evil which I [Solomon] have seen . . . riches were lost
through a bad
investment . . . (Ecclesiastes 5:13-14). -
Avoid
Those Risky Investments. ·
There
is another problem I have seen everywhere – savings are put into
risky investments that turn sour, and soon there is nothing left to
pass on to one’s son. The man who speculates is soon back to where
he began – with nothing. This, as I have said, is a serious problem,
for all his hard work has been for nothing; he has been working for
the wind. It is all swept away (Ecclesiastes 5:13-16, TLB) · These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart; and you shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up (Deuteronomy 6:6-7).
·
You
shall therefore impress these words of mine on your heart and on your
soul; and you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall
be as frontals on your forehead. And
you shall teach them to your sons, talking of them when you sit in
your house and when you walk along the road and when you lie down and
when you rise up (Deuteronomy 11:18-19). ·
Train
up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old he will not
depart from it (Proverbs 22:6). ·
This
book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall
meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do
according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your
way prosperous, and then you will have success (Joshua 1:8). ·
And
keep the charge of the Lord your God, to walk in His ways, to keep His
statutes, His commandments, His ordinances, and His testimonies,
according to what is written in the law of Moses, that you may succeed
in all that you do and wherever you turn (1 Kings 2:3). ·
Only
the Lord give you [Solomon] discretion and understanding . . . so that
you may keep the law of the Lord your God. Then you shall prosper, if
you are careful to observe the statutes and the ordinances which the
Lord commanded Moses. . . (1 Chronicles 22:12-13). ·
.
. . Observe and seek after all the commandments of the Lord your God
in order that you may possess the good land and bequeath it to your
sons after you forever (1 Chronicles 28:8). ·
.
. . Give an account of your stewardship . . . (Luke 16:2) ·
Delight
yourself in the Lord; and He will give you the desires of your heart
(Psalm 37:4). ·
How
blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in His ways. When
you shall eat of the fruit of your hands, you will be happy and it
will be well with you (Psalm 128:1-2). ·
Cry
out for insight, and ask for understanding. Search for them as you
would for silver; seek them like hidden treasures - Proverbs 2:3-4 ·
Take
a lesson from the ants, you lazybones.
Learn from their ways and become wise! Though they have no prince or
governor or ruler to make them work, they labor hard all summer,
gathering food for the winter - Proverbs 6:6-8 ·
An
inheritance obtained too early in life is not a blessing in the end -
Proverbs 20:21 ·
“For
even when we were with you, we used to give you this order: if anyone
is not willing to work, then he is not to eat, either.
For we hear that some among you are leading an undisciplined
life, doing no work at all, but acting like busybodies.
Now such persons we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ
to work in quiet fashion and eat their own bread.” - Those who are
able to work should do everything that they can to be able to find
work. - 2 Thessalonians
3:10-12 ·
Psalm
50:10 says, “For every beast of the forest is Mine, The cattle on a
thousand hills.” All
money, all wealth, all things, and all resources belong to God.
He is the owner because He is the Creator.
We must never confuse earthly ownership with Who is ultimately
on the throne of all. ·
A
little extra sleep, a little more slumber, a little folding of the
hands to rest—then poverty
will pounce on you like a bandit; scarcity will attack you like an
armed robber - Proverbs 6:10, 11 ·
The
blessing of the Lord makes a person rich, and he adds no sorrow with
it - Proverbs 10:22 ·
It’s
poor judgment to guarantee another person’s debt or put up security
for a friend - Proverbs 17:18 ·
But
let all things be done properly and in an orderly manner (1
Corinthians 14:40). ·
“As
long as the earth endures, seedtime
and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will
never cease.”- Genesis 8:22
